A complaint was filed by Roshan Kumar Mahato, 34, Secretary of the Ward Office of Kabilasi Municipality-10, Salempur, on June 10, at the District Police Office, Malangwa, accusing Rakesh Kumar Yadav, 38, and Bibek Kumar Yadav, 42, of the same ward of beating him on June 1.
According to the victim, a dispute arose when the accused came to the ward office seeking a recommendation letter to obtain firewood from the Sagarnath Forest Office and was informed that the required documents were incomplete. The victim alleged that the accused verbally abused him and physically assaulted him during the dispute.
DSP Bed Prasad Gautam of the District Police Office, Malangawa, informed that an investigation into the incident is underway.
