Chief District Officer, Ganesh Aryal, rescued Samikya Dangol, 3, on May 22, 2026, who has allegedly been abandoned by her parents for the past two months at a hotel in Narayangadh.
The girl had been left at Royal Rest House in Pulchowk, Narayangadh, on March 26, 2026, by her father Ganesh Dangol and mother Diksha Dangol. After staying at the hotel for five days, the couple reportedly told Laxmi Lama of Dhanushadham–7, Janakpur that they were going to a hospital and left the child in her care before leaving the hotel.
In the presence of Ward No. 3 Chairperson Bikash Thapa and Ward No. 1 Chairperson Keshav Maharjan, CDO Aryal handed the child over to Manavsewa Ashram. Police have been mobilized to search for the parents, who remain out of contact.
