The District Agriculture Development Office said that there has been shortages of 1004 metric ton of rice in the district.
The office said that 191 kilo grams of rice per person is needed for targeted population of 101661. As per this, the district needs 22,168 metric tons of rice according to Balak Ram Devkota, planning officer of District Agriculture Development Office.
He said ‘ at present, 21,164 metric tons of rice were produced in the district and still there are 4.5 percentage of grains shortages in the district”.
