Complaint Filed Against Accused in Attempted Trafficking Case

A complaint was filed on April 20 at the District Police Office, Malangwa, by the victim’s family against Dipak Sah Sonar, 34 of Parsa Rural Municipality–2, Sagramapur, on the charge of attempting to traffic an 11-year-old boy.

According to Inspector Bindeshwar Yadav, the accused had lured the child with the promise of employment and was taking him on April 16 to Darbhanga, Patna, in the Indian state of Bihar. During questioning by a team of the Armed Police Force deployed at the Nepal–India border under the Area Police Office, Sangrampur, the accused abandoned the child and fled towards India. The child has undergone a health examination at the Provincial Hospital, Malangwa.
