The victim’s side protested at the National Women Commission, demanding justice for women affected by violence. Chants such as “Ensure women’s rights,” “End violence against women,” “Why is the Women’s Commission silent?” “Give justice to Inisha BK and Reshmika Pariyar,” and “Protect daughters and girls” were raised by the victims’ side in the Women Commission premises.
The victim’s families demanded a swift investigation into the rape and killing case of Inisha BK from Surkhet and legal action against those involved in the rape and murder of Reshmika Pariyar from Khotang.
Having held a sit-in at Maitighar Mandala for justice with no response, the victims’ side drew the attention of the Women Commission. The Khotang Service Society expressed solidarity with the victims’ demands, informed Secretary Navaraj Roka. He stated that victims should receive justice as soon as possible and perpetrators should face the strictest possible punishment.
