Ranjana Gautam, 15, of Arjundhara Municipality–5, and Drishti Karmacharya, 15, also from the same place, have been missing since March 15, after which the victim’s side filed a complaint with the police seeking a search for them.
After the two girls, who study in grade nine at Devi Secondary School in Birtamod, located in Arjundhara Municipality–5, went missing from March 15, the victim’s side submitted an application to the police on the night of March 15 requesting a search.
As the parents of both girls are abroad for foreign employment, the girls have been living and studying at the house of Hari Sapkota in Kanchanbari Tole, Arjundhara Municipality–5. After they went missing, Sapkota submitted an application to the Area Police Office, Birtamod, requesting a search.
After searching the homes of the girls’ friends and relatives but failing to find any information about their whereabouts, the victim’s side filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Birtamod, according to DSP Khagendra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office.
Police have begun an investigation into the incident.
