The police have arrested Pramananda Paudel, 64, of Bahrahachetra Municipality-7, from Jhapa, and another unnamed accused after receiving a complaint from the victim’s family on February 16 at the District Police Office, accusing the two of raping a 27-year-old woman on February 14. The police have arrested the accused for investigation. The victim underwent a medical examination on February 17.
Similarly, police arrested Silash Limbu, 20, of Mangsebung Rural Municipality–3, Ilam district, on February 18, on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl. The victim’s family filed a complaint against the accused at the Banjo Police Post on Falgun 6, alleging that he had raped the girl on February 14. Based on the complaint filed by the victim’s side, the police arrested the accused for investigation. The medical examination of the victim was conducted at the District Hospital on February 16
