During the Gen-Z, police arrested a person along with a motorcycle stolen from the District Traffic Police Office, Birtamode.
The police arrested Bir Bahadur Damai, 39, of Fakfokthum Rural Municipality-7, Ilam, who was staying as a tenant at Ramesh Magar’s house in Sirjana Tol, Birtamod Municipality-1, on January 4, 2026.
During the Gen-Z movement, on September 9, 2025, the motorcycle that went missing from the premises of the District Traffic Police Office, Birtamod, was allegedly hidden by Damai in his residence.
A joint team of the Area Police Office, Birtamod, and the District Traffic Police Office found the motorcycle, a Super Splendor with plate number Me7 Pa 9, hidden during a check, and arrested Damai. The police stated that the motorcycle belonged to a member of the public.
During the movement, protesters had carried out arson and vandalism at the Traffic Police Office. In the process, they set fire not only to the traffic building but also to vehicles.
