Police arrested Damwar Pariyar, 40 for allegedly attempting to burn his wife, Menuka Pariyar, 42 alive in Arjundhara Municipality-4, Bhangwari on December 30, 2025.
According to DSP Khagendrabahadur Khadka of the District Police Office, the arrest was made for investigation after Damwar allegedly beat his wife and tried to set her on fire during a domestic dispute on the same day.
The victim sustained injuries to her back, face, knees, and hands and is receiving treatment at Birtacity Hospital.
The victim’s side filed a written complaint against the accused at Shanishchare Police Post on the same day.
