Police have arrested Ganesh Sah Gupta, 40, the son-in-law, on charges of killing Pavimaya Bayalkoti, 56, at BP Chowk in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City–9.
According to Inspector Subas Hamal of the Area Police Office, Itahari, Pavimaya Bayalkoti, who had come to her daughter’s home, was killed on December 28, 2025, after being struck with a hand pump handle during a domestic dispute.
Police said the accused was arrested immediately after the incident.
The body has been kept at Koshi Hospital for post-mortem examination.
