Police arrested Man Bahadur Rai, 29, of Santang, Dhankuta Municipality-8, on December 20, 2025, on charges of raping a 19-year-old woman.
The victim party had filed a complaint at the District Police Office on December 19, accusing the suspect of raping the victim on December 17.
Based on the complaint filed by the victim party, the accused was arrested for investigation, informed SP Sharad Kumar Thapa Chhetri of the District Police Office.
The victim’s medical examination was conducted at the district hospital on December 21.
