Police have arrested sister-in-law, Meena Lama Bamjan, 35, and mother-in-law, Mayarani Bamjan, 59, for investigation on charges of involvement in the alleged killing of Sushila Bamjan, 32, of Dhrubazar, Kamalamai Municipality-4, by sprinkling petrol on her on December 21, as per District Police Office SP Lal Dhwaj Subedi.
DSP Subedi stated that preliminary investigation has revealed that Meena Lama Bamjan set Sushila on fire over a domestic dispute, leading to her death.
In the incident in which Sushila was set on fire, the deceased’s father-in-law, Durgaman Bamjan, was also injured and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kathmandu.
