Weapon Looted During Protest Recovered

Police have recovered a magazine and bullets looted from the Area Police Office, Anarmani, Birtamode Municipality-5, that were looted during the protest on September 9.

According to DSP Khagendra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office, one magazine of an INSAS rifle and three rounds of Mark III rifle ammunition were found in an unclaimed condition on December 21 at a tea garden in Syaldangi, Birtamod Municipality–6.

DSP Khadka stated that records show the recovered INSAS rifle magazine and bullets were looted from the store room of the Area Police Office, Birtamod, during the Gen-Z movement.

Similarly, a weapon looted from the Area Police Office, Damak, located in Damak Municipality–6, on September 9 during the protest was recovered by the police on December 21 in an unclaimed condition on the bank of the Geuriya River along Dhanprasad Marg in Kamal Rural Municipality–5.

The police reported that one gas gun bearing number 238169, with a rusted butt and barrel, was found in a burnt condition.
