In connection with the killing of Dal Kumari Pariyar, 75, of Pokhara Metropolitan City–31, Banspani, the police arrested her grandson, Ashish Pariyar, 22, on December 18, 2025.
According to the police, the accused attacked his grandmother with a sharp weapon during a domestic dispute on December 18, resulting in her death at the scene.
District Police Office, Kaski DSP Haribahadur Basnet informed that the accused was arrested from Buddhachowk, Pokhara Metropolitan City–10.
The post-mortem examination of the body was conducted on Poush 4 at Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara.
Kaski Police stated that the accused has been remanded for seven days by the Kaski District Court for investigation in a case of killing.
