Police have arrested Shiva Koirala, 51, of Budhiganga Rural Municipality-2 on January 16, 2022, on the charge of sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl.
The victim had lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on January 16 accusing him of sexually abusing her on January 14.
According to DSP Manjil Mukarung of the District Police Office, the accused was arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim and the police have registered a case against the accused in the district court on January 16.
According to the police, the accused is a member of the Nepali Congress Province 1 Committee. The girl has been examined at Koshi Hospital on January 16.
