A complaint has been filed against Rikesh Tamang,28, of Melamchi Municipality-13, Phaktakshila, on charges of raping a 16-year-old girl. According to the victim’s family, the accused allegedly raped the girl on 10 August while she was on her way to school.
The accused has been absconding since the incident, and police are searching for him, as per Inspector Rupesh Shah of the District Police Office. The victim underwent a medical examination on 8 November at the Melamchi Primary Health Center.
