The District Police Office arrested Khadkabahadur Thapa,62, on November 4 for the charge of killing his wife, Bhimkala Thapa,55, of Sunwal Municipality-13, Ghyudalla.
According to DSP Bir Datta Panta, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Nawalparasi, the accused attacked his wife with a sickle injuring her severely. She was taken to Butwal for treatment, where doctors pronounced her dead. Police stated that further investigation into the incident is underway following the suspect’s arrest. The victim’s family filed a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on November 4. The postmortem of the body was conducted at Prithivi Chandra District Hospital on 5 November.
