Diarrhea Outbreak Infects 59 People From Same Locality 

Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality has appealed to the public to take health precautions after a diarrhea outbreak spread in Musahar Tole of Lokharam-5. According to a notice issued by the Rural Municipality Executive Office on November 6, a total of 59 people have been infected so far.

According to Bibek Prasad Yadav, Chief of the Health Section of the Rural Municipality, 44 of the infected patients have returned home after treatment, while nine are undergoing treatment at the local health facility in Lokharam and six at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj. The rural municipality reported that out of 13 Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDT) conducted, six tested positive. As the number of diarrhea cases continues to rise, the situation has become more challenging, prompting the municipality to intensify treatment and sanitation campaigns with the support of health workers, local volunteers, and organizations.
