Gen Z Movement in Rupandehi Causes Over Rs. 28.21 Crore in Damages

During the Gen Z Movement on September 9, 2025, protesters in Rupandehi caused damage to 41 offices. Among them, 6 offices were completely damaged, and 35 offices suffered partial damage.

Among the offices with complete damage, at Bhairahawa Customs Office Belahiya, of the two buildings, the Passenger Branch and the Office Building, the Passenger Branch was completely destroyed, and the Office Building suffered partial damage. At the Labor and Employment Office Butwal, of the two buildings, the Administrative Building suffered partial damage, and the other building with a tin roof was completely destroyed. Under the District Police Office, the temporary police post at Gallamandi, the Revenue Investigation Office Butwal, of the two administrative buildings, one building was completely damaged by fire, and the other building suffered partial damage due to vandalism. The Administrative Building of the Quality and Standards Office Butwal was completely damaged. The building of the Tilottama Industry and Commerce Association was completely destroyed.

The remaining 35 offices suffered partial damage, according to Chiranjeevi Rana, Assistant Chief District Officer of Rupandehi District Administration Office.
