Police have arrested an inmate who had escaped from Kathmandu’s Jagannathdewal jail during the Gen-Z protest on September 9. According to DSP Prakash Jawegu of the Bhaktapur District Police Range, Niraj Tamang,29,of Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City-16, Kaski, who had been serving a sentence for rape, was arrested from Besitol, Changunarayan Municipality-6, Bhaktapur, by a team from the Kharipati Police Post.
He was sent back to Jagannathdewal Prison, Kathmandu, on October 22.
