Police arrested Jitman Tamang of Shivapuri Rural Municipality-7 on 7 October, in connection with the killing of his wife Sabina Tamang,49, that same evening. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bikram Lama of the District Police Office, the accused killed his wife by stabbing her with a khukuri during a domestic dispute.
The accused has admitted to killing his wife in rage.
