In a clash during the Nepali Congress Ward Convention at Achalgadh in Balara Municipality-9 on November 28, 2021, two people have been injured.
Minister of Women, Children, Youth, and Sports of Province 2 Birendra Prasad Singh informed that the injured ones are his Protective Service Officer (PSO) Ram Chandra Khadka, 32, resident of Balara Municipality- 4 and Ram Chandra Mahato, 37, resident of Balara Municipality-9.
Ram Singh, a local cadre, has accused that the bodyguard of the Province Minister fired in the air during a dispute between the two parties that occurred after the Minister expressed his dissatisfaction during the discussion related to the ward convention.
Minister Birendra Prasad Singh said after protesting against the cheating in the ward convention, Member of Parliament Amaresh Kumar Singh attacked him and his PSO Khadka with a rod. PSO Khadka and two others were injured in the attack, he further added.
Those injured have been treated at the District Hospital, Malangwa on November 28.
