Amid the disruptions caused by the Gen-Z protest, services that had been halted in government offices across the district have resumed. All government offices in Kapilvastu are now fully operational. Following directives from the District Administration Office to restart office services, most offices in Kapilvastu resumed full operations from 14 September. According to Chief District Officer Dil Kumar Tamang, all government offices in Kapilvastu have resumed including citizenship, passport, and national identity card services, as provided through the District Administration Office and local administrative offices. Customs offices had already been operating regularly. Meanwhile, the District Coordination Committee, Kapilvastu, led discussions at the District Administration Office with municipal chiefs to restart services across all local offices and their subordinate departments.
During the discussions, security agencies addressed maintaining law and order, while local bodies focused on resuming service delivery, according to Baburam Acharya, Chief of the District Coordination Committee, Kapilvastu. Acharya also stated that the Committee has issued official correspondence to all local levels in the district, directing them to ensure the regular operation of services.
The correspondence from the Coordination Committee stated that due to the recent disruptions in the country, regular services from the offices were interrupted. As the situation in the country is now stabilizing, local bodies and their subordinate offices are requested to resume regular service operations.
