Various civil society organizations, social activists, and human rights defenders issued an appeal calling for the formation of a government within the constitutional framework on 11 September. The appeal has urged the establishment of rule of law and the formation of a government that addresses the sentiments of the Gen-z generation.
The appeal stated, “In this critical situation, we make a special request to the protesting GenZ generation and to all citizens to exercise restraint and uphold peace and stability. We must all take responsibility to protect Nepal’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, federalism, democracy, and human rights. Furthermore, the appeal also drew attention to the need for vigilance against escalating political crisis and internal conflict, as well as the risk of international intervention.
