A group of unknown assailants vandalized the Dhapa Health Post in Sinja Rural Municipality-1 on the night of 27 August. Health Post Chief Min Prasad Tiwari said the vandals also stole a laptop, two desktop computers, five bulbs, and some temporary medical equipment. He added that the main gate had been broken, and the doors of the inner rooms were forced open. This is the third time the health post has been vandalized.
Ward Chairperson Harindra Acharya of Sinja-1 said the incident underscores growing security challenges in the area. Meanwhile, DSP Rabin Babu Regmi of the Jumla District Police Office stated that the Narakot Police Post has been directed to investigate the case. He added that incidents of vandalism and theft of public property have been on the rise in recent days.
