Police arrested Sarita Sirmal, 28, of Gorkha Municipality-4, Gorkha on August 19 from Birgunj for the charge of attempting to lure and traffic three women aged 19, 28, and 35 to India. DSP Kishor Lamsal of the Parsa District Police Office stated that the accused had been involved in human trafficking by luring the women with promises of good jobs, marriage, and buying them materialistic things.
