Police arrested Tarabahadur Karki, 62, of Tansen Municipality-10, Telgha, on July 6 from Tansen on charges of raping a 23-year-old woman. DSP Sunil Malla of the Palpa District Police Office said the aggrieved party filed a complaint at the District Police Office Palpa on January 7, stating that the accused raped the woman on January 5, 2024. The accused had been absconding since the incident.
The woman underwent a medical examination at Palpa Hospital on January 7.
