Police arrested 22-year-old man of Chaurpati Rural Municipality on May 17 for raping a 20-year-old woman.The accused is reportedly a relative to the victim. DSP Ishwori Prasad Bhandari of the District Police Office, Achham stated that after the aggrieved party filed a complaint stating that the accused raped the victim at her home on May 11, the accused was taken into custody and an investigation is underway.
The victim has alleged that the accused had been repeatedly raping her for the past year by issuing various threats. The health examination of the victim was done on May 17 at the District Hospital, Accham.
