District Court sentenced Yamlal Giri, 69, of Tilottama Municipality-1, Nayamil to three months imprisonment for sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl. The bench of District Court Judge Ashok Kumar Basnet on May 5, 2025, sentenced the accused to three months in prison, imposed a fine of Rs 10,000, and ordered a compensation of Rs 35,000 to be paid to the victim, according to Court Information Officer Padam Aryal.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Butwal on January 25, 2025, stating that the accused had sexually abused the minor on January 23, 2025. The victim underwent a medical examination at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal on January 23. The police had arrested the accused on January 23.
