District Court sentenced 39-year-old man to life imprisonment for raping his 14-year-old daughter. The bench of District Court Judge Manoj Shrestha on April 24 sentenced the accused to life imprisonment, imposed a fine of Rs 500,000, ordered compensation of Rs 50,000, and ordered a deposit of Rs 20,000 into the victim’s relief fund, according to Information Officer Amrita KC.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Mainapokhari on June 26, 2024, alleging that the victim was raped on June 25. Police arrested the accused on June 26. The health examination of the victim was done at Bardiya District Hospital, Gulariya on the same day.
