Police arrested Kishor Rawal, 32, of Krishnapur Municipality-1 on March 4 on charges of raping and attempting to traffick a 16-year-old girl on March 19, 2016. The Supreme Court had sentenced Rawal to 10 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 100,000 on August 8, 2024, after finding him guilty of rape and human trafficking.
