Police arrested 28-year-old Rudra Bahadur Jirel of Jiri Municipality-7 on January 4, 2025 for the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl on April 22, 2024.
Inspector Dataram Adhikari of the District Police Office stated that the accused was arrested on 4 January after the aggrieved party filed an verbal complaint of rape. He further informed that the written complaint was registered on 5 January.
As the victim has given birth, further health examinations are yet to be conducted.
