Police have arrested 27-year-old Kesh Bahadur Pun from Baglung Municipality-3, Tarakhola Rural Municipality, on charges of killing his 6-year-old son, Kismat Pun.
Pun was apprehended at the scene after allegedly throwing his son off the Gaindakot cliff into the Kathekhola river in Baglung Municipality-3 on the evening of October 15, according to police.
Locals alerted the authorities, reporting that the father had thrown his son into the river from the cliff. Inspector Sunil Sharma Chiluwaal of the District Police Office, Baglung, stated that a search by police and locals led to the discovery of Kismat’s body about 200 meters downstream in the Kathekhola river. A post-mortem examination was conducted at Dhaulagiri Hospital.
