Police arrested 55-year-old Shivendra Rai, Principal of Sakela Secondary School located in Sakela Rural Municipality-2, on August 22 for the charge of sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl. The aggrieved party filed a verbal complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on August 22, alleging that he had sexually abused the minor on August 20.
Inspector Benu Karki of the District Police Office said that the accused was arrested for investigation based on the verbal complaint of the victim. Police reported that a written complaint against the accused was filed on August 22.
The health examination of the victim was done on 23 August at the District Hospital.
