Police arrested 30-year-old Shyamshunder Prasad Yadav of Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-5 Ghusukpur, on 16 July for allegedly involving women aged 20, 21, 22, and 25 from various parts of the district into engaging in sexual activities.
A complaint was filed on 16 July and based on the complaint, the accused was arrested on the same day.
DSP Dadhiram Neupane informed that on July 16, the District Police Office rescued four women who had been lured to restaurants and party palaces from different locations by the accused, promising financial benefits in exchange for engaging in sexual activities. The victims were safely returned to their families on July 17.
Medical Superintendent Ajay Gupta informed that the medical examination of the victims was done on 17 July at the Provincial Hospital Kalaiya.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Neupane informed that the District Police Office has kept the accused in custody from 17 July for further investigation
