A complaint was filed against 30-year-old Dhiren Pariyar of Tyamkemaiyum Rural Municipality-1 on 9 June charging him of rape. Inspector Bishal Limbu of the District police Office reported that the aggrieved party, in their complaint alleged that the accused had raped a 22-year-old woman on 2 June.
According to the police, the accused is currently absconding, and a search has been initiated following the complaint.
The health examination of the victim was done at the District Hospital on June 9.
