The police arrested 29-year-old Suraj Kumar Shahi, the current Chief of the health post in Soru Rural Municipality-9, Khanaya on December 24 for the charge of caste discrimination against Tulasa Bishwakarma, an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) at Soru Rural Municipality-9, Khanaya Health Post on December 18.
DSP Birendra Thapa of the District Police Office informed that the victim filed a complaint against the accused on December 22. He added that the incident is being further investigated.
