Sajjan Paudel, a teacher at Model Residential Secondary School, Kushma Brutally assaulted a 13-year-old boy studying in Class 7 on December 10.
The victim complained that he was subjected to physical assault while Human Rights Day was being celebrated nationwide. The accused allegedly punched and kicked the victim within the class premises and kicked him out of the door.
The victim was taken to a private medical center in Kushma by the other teachers of the school and subsequently sent home after general treatment. However, the victim’s parents asserted that, in the evening, they personally took their son to Pokhara Hospital when his right eye became severely swollen, impeding his vision.
Chinu KC, the mother of the victim, stated that the teacher’s physical assault resulted in injuries to other parts of the victim’s body as well. She demanded that the school should take appropriate action against the teacher who assaulted their son.
According to residents, the teacher who assaulted the student had a history of physically harming other students, leading to the escalation of the conflict.
Paudel has acknowledged that the incident occurred when he became upset with the students engaging in undisciplined activities during his class
The aggrieved party reached District Police Office Parbat and had a discussion with DSP Khumlal Bhusal about acting against the teacher. DSP Bhusal said that the aggrieved party has been asked to come with a complaint.
