The Inclusive Disabled Association Saptari has honoured four people including INSEC member and press freedom fighter Baidyanath Jha, INSC representative Manohar Kumar Pokharel on August 2.
During the second convention of Saptari Inclusive Disabled Association, which took place in Rajbiraj, a certificate of appreciation was presented to recognize the important role played in advocating for the rights and privileges of individuals with disabilities by accurately reporting the facts about activities and programs related to disability.
On this occasion, Deepak Kumar Jha, the President of NGO Federation Saptari, and Jagdish Aryal, the President of Intellectual Disability Parents Association Saptari, were also honoured and recognized for their contributions.
During the inaugural ceremony of the convention organized under the leadership of Satishchandra Jha, the President of Saptari Inclusive Disabled Association, individuals honored on the occasion emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration for the empowerment, accessibility, and overall development of people with disabilities.
The program’s chief guest, Anita Chaudhary, the Women Development Officer of Rajbiraj Municipality’s Social Development Section, encouraged everyone to come together and support individuals with disabilities to ensure their inclusion and empowerment. She also added that efforts are being made to incorporate the concerns related to disability into the local government’s plans and programs, aiming to include and involve individuals with disabilities.
Prakash Nepali, the coordinator of the National Disabled Federation Nepal Madhesh Province Office, stated that the objective is to incorporate the concerns of individuals with disabilities and work towards their inclusion through disability-inclusive development programs.
The program conducted by Saptari Inclusive Disabled Association, Secretary Ashok Kumar Yadav presented the progress report, while Treasurer Radha Aryal presented the financial report. The event was hosted by Naresh Kumar Chaudhary.
