A complaint has been lodged at the district police office on July 30 against the 36-year-old man on the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl.
The victim disclosed that her father had been in jail following an incident where he murdered her mother. Additionally, she revealed that during her four-year stay under her uncle’s care, she was raped several times.
As per the victim’s statement, the accused allegedly raped her at home on July 17.
The health examination of the victim was conducted at Dhading Hospital on July 29. With the support of the maternal family, she was rescued on the same day from Dhadingbesi.
According to information from SP Gautam Mishra of the district police office, the accused was apprehended on July 13 and taken into custody for investigation. Simultaneously, the victim has been accommodated in a secure shelter facility.
