On July 27, a complaint was lodged at the District Police Office against a 45-year-old resident of Dhunibesi Municipality-5 and lcurrently living in Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-19, Dang, on the accusation of raping a 17-year-old girl.
The victim party lodged a complaint saying that the accused repeatedly raped the girl.
The District Police Office’s Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Santulal Prasad Jaiswar, disclosed that the victim was last raped by the accused on April 24.
DSP Jaiswar informed that the accused was arrested on July 26 from Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-19 in Dang and has been kept in custody as per the order of the district court.
On July 26, the victim girl underwent a health examination at Dadhing Hospital. As she is five months pregnant, she has been transferred to the Thapathali Maternity hospital in Kathmandu, on July 27, for further treatment.
