On July 13, the Prison Administration reported the unfortunate passing of Dal Bahadur Damai, a 68-year-old individual from Patharishanishchare Municipality-3, who was detained in District Jail Morang while awaiting trial for a homicide case.
Jailer Krishan Khadka confirmed that Dal Bahadur, while receiving medical treatment, passed away at Koshi Hospital. The hospital attributed his demise to health complications.
As per the order of the District Court Morang, Dal Bahadur had been remanded to judicial custody on April 20, 2023. The circumstances surrounding his case and subsequent detention are currently under investigation.
