On July 5, the police arrested Sudan Koirala, a 50-year-old individual residing in Pokhara Metropolitan City-4, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-4, Bagdol, on charges of raping a 16-year-old girl. The victim had filed a complaint on June 28 at the Jawalakhel Police Precinct, alleging that the accused had sexually assaulted her on June 14, after enticing her at the LOD club.
Dr. Ravi Shakya, the hospital director, confirmed that the victim girl underwent a medical examination on July 5 at Patan Hospital. Meanwhile, an arrest warrant has been issued for the club owners, Raju Singh Suwal and Rudil Babu Shrestha. However, SSP Shiddhi Bikram Shah, the head of the Lalitpur Police Complex, stated that the search for the accused individuals is still ongoing.
Furthermore, Navraj Karki, SP and Spokesperson of the Lalitpur Police Complex, informed that the investigation into the incident is being conducted by the district court, with an extension of five days granted for the proceedings.
