Police registered a complaint against Manu, 28, alias Gauri Shankar Tripathi of Marchwari Rural Municipality-6 Bagauli on May 23, 2023, on the charge of rape of a 26-year-old woman.
The victim filed a complaint at the Local Police Office on Tuesday, accusing him of committing the crime on May 15.
Inspector Dipesh Kharel of the Area Police Office said the investigation is ongoing.
The victim underwent a medical examination of the victim on May 21, at Bhim Hospital Bhairahawa.
