The police arrested Ratan Pachai, 30 years old, on May 17, 2023, in Chandannath Municipality-6 Bijayanagar, on the charge of killing his wife, Dansara Rawat Pachai, 20 of Kankasundari Rural Municipality-6 Pachaiwada.
The authorities discovered the body of Dansara, in the Tila River, on May 16, 11 days after she disappeared from home.
The family of Dansara, filed a complaint at the District Police Office on May 17, to investigate the mysterious death of Dansara.
The police conducted postmortum of the body on May 18, at the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Jumla.
Inspector Dharmaraj Joshi of the District Police Office said the district court extended the investigation by three days after Pachai’s arrest.
