A group of youths assaulted an Armed Force Police officer, Narendra Singh Chaisir, on May 5, 2023. The officer was injured by a sharp weapon attack (Khukuri) when he was on duty in Dodharchandani Municipality, Kanchanpur.
According to Chaisir, the group of youths attacked him after he questioned the reason for their presence in the area at late night. The assailants ran away after the attack.
The police arrested five individuals involved in the incident on May 4, 2023. Arjun Saud, Inspector of Dodharchandani, informed the INSEC representative that the investigation is on going, and they are continuing the search for the rest of the accused.
Police arrested Rohan Bayak,20, Ajay Bayak,27, Dipak Bista,23, Roshan Nepal,19, and Bikram Nepal, 23, of Dodharchandani Municipality-7.
The health examination of the Chaisir was done at District Hospital on May 3, 2023.
