According to the Registrar of the District Court, Ishwar Acharya, the bench of Judge Nirmala Subedi of Chitwan District Court, sentenced a man to 18 years imprisonment for the rape of his 11-year-old daughter with an additional four years imprisonment for the crime of incest. The court further imposed a fine of Rs. 6, 25,000.
The mother of the victim filed a complaint, against the victim’s 31-year-old father, at the Local Police Office Ratnanagar on May 2, 2022, on the charge of rape of his daughter on April 19, 2022.
The victim’s father was arrested from home on May 2, 2022. The health examination of the girl was done on the same day at Bharatpur Hospital.
Judge Hemant Rawal’s bench remanded the accused to judicial custody for preliminary investigation on May 25, 2022.
