Violation of Code of Conduct by Political Parties, Election Campaigning against the Code of Conduct

The political parties of Ramechhap district have continued their election campaign violating the code of conduct issued by the Election Commission.

Even though the Election Commission published in their code of conduct that the political parties should start their campaigning only before17 days, the Nepali Congress and the CPN Maoist Centre, which are in coalition in the district, are holding processions, meetings and door-to-door programs.

Similarly, CPN-UML has also started the election program since October 14.

Despite all this information, the District Election Office Election Commission has not taken any action. Political parties have prepared the schedule of election programs and conducted campaigns.
