A complaint has been filed against Manbahadur Pun, 40, accusing him of attacking Sher Bahadur Khanal, 51, ward chairperson of Bareng Rural Municipality-3.
The complaint was filed on August 31, 2022 stating that Manbahadur had attacked him on August 30 at Batakachaur during the distribution of National ID Card.
The National ID card was being distributed at Sharada Secondary School of Batakachaur and Manbahadur had not brought adequate documents for the preparation of the card. DSP Indra Bahadur Rana of the District Police Office said that Manbahadur kicked the classroom door and injured the Chairperson.
Khanal was treated at Dhaulagiri Hospital. His right ear, hand and leg were injured.
He has demanded the protection of his life saying that he was attacked while serving the citizens selflessly. DSP Rana said that the search is on for the accused.
