Two Injured in a Blast at Itahari

Rabin Thapa, 22, of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan-2 and Sher Jung Gurung, 23, of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan-2 were injured when a twine bomb exploded at a house in Nawajagriti Tole of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan-2 on March 28, 2022.

SP Sanjay Singh Thapa of the District Police Office informed INSEC that Rabin Thapa, who was injured in the blast, was undergoing treatment at the Eye Hospital in Biratnagar and Gurung was undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan Ghopa.

According to the police, Thapa sustained eye injuries while Gurung sustained injuries on his hands and thighs.

A twine bomb had exploded at the house of Amit Shrestha of Itahari Sub-metropolitan-2 and injured Thapa and Gurung, who lived as tenants in the same house.

Police said that a leaflet of Himal Security Council was found at the crime scene.

According to the police, the leaflets of the Himal Security Council demanded the abolition of federalism, the establishment of five development regions and the establishment of Hindu State.

Police said that an organized crime may have taken place after a leaflet of Himal Security Council was found at the crime scene.
